Privacy Policy

The short version
You upload a resume file and a job description, we tailor the wording, you download the result. We do not sell your data, we do not send you marketing emails, and we do not use your resume file to train any AI model.
Your resume file
Your resume file is uploaded to our server, read into text, tailored, and turned into a new file that is sent straight back to your browser. The uploaded resume file itself is processed in memory for that request and is not kept in long-term storage afterwards.
The tailored text is sent to an AI provider so it can be reworded against the job description. That provider processes the text to return a result and does not use it to train models.
Downloads
Your tailored resume file is generated on request and downloaded directly by you. We do not email files, and we do not share your resume file with anyone else.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional. If you do, we store your account identifier and, for each resume you finish, the tailored resume content, the file name, the role title, the match score and your chosen template, colour and font — so you can download it again later from "My resumes". You can ask us to delete this at any time by emailing hello@resumetailor.info.
Anonymous usage records
We keep basic records of tailoring runs — such as the number of changes, keywords used and match scores — to spot bugs and improve the tool. If you provided an email address at any point, it is stored only so we can reply to you; it is never used for marketing.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to count page views and understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and collects standard technical data such as your approximate location, browser and device type. It never receives your resume content.
Retention
Uploaded resume files: not retained after your request is processed. Saved resumes (signed-in users only): kept until you ask us to delete them. Usage records: kept while they remain useful for improving the tool.
Accuracy is your responsibility
The tailored file is produced by AI, and AI can make mistakes. If anything in the tailored resume file is inaccurate, misleading, or does not reflect your real experience, it is your responsibility to check every change and correct it before you send the file to anyone. You approve each change before downloading, and by downloading it you confirm the content is accurate.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@resumetailor.info and we'll handle it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the tool grows. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
